A 2,000+ meter open-water race and pledge swim.

Where:

Lady Bird Lake from Red Bud Isle toward the center of Austin finishing at Texas Rowing Center

Why:

For fun, health & fitness, to promote clean water & water conservation, to promote open water swimming, and to help raise awareness and funds to fight Prostate Cancer.

Race Cruise:

The 2017 Cap 2k Cruise provides a unique glimpse of the race. Your friends, family, and fans can view the race and see an incredible variety of flora and fauna from Lady Bird Lake from the Capital Cruises' Doubledecker Boat. The cruise is: $15 for adults & $10 for ages 4-11. Space is limited. Tickets must be prepaid and are available on a first-come basis. Available for purchase soon. (Note: purchase is done through event, not directly wtih Capital Cruise.)

Spectating:

View the entire swim, start to finish, from the MoPac Pedestrian Bridge or other spots along the lake.

Post-Race
Picnic Lunch & Awards:

Celebrate with the Cap 2k finishers by joining us at Eiler’s Park/Deep Eddy Pool after the race for the awards ceremony. Picnic lunch from Maudie's TexMex & ThunderCloud, and other Austin favorites is included in registration for participants. Guest tickets will be available via registration page soon.
